Our Founders

The Blake Co., Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1889. It was founded by J.C. Blake and his son, Jesse C. Blake. It is currently operated by David J. Blake, his son David C. Blake and office manager Jennifer Nelson. We still believe in that old fashioned one-on-one service.
David J. Blake or "Big Dave" has been with the company for over 60 years while David C. Blake or "Little Dave" has been with the company for over 20 years. Jennifer has been with the company for over 15 years. Combined, these three individuals have over 95 years of experience in the awning and flag business. So you know that you can only expect friendly, personal, and reliable service from "Blake Awning".
We specialize in custom made canvas awnings and porch curtains plus many other custom made canvas products like machine and storage covers just to name a couple of items. If you have a special canvas need please give us a call. Chances are we can make it for you.
We have also been a flag dealer selling flags, flagpoles and flag products for more than 100 years. We will only sell American made U.S. flags. And nearly all of the other flags are also made in America. Only some flag hardware items may be imported. We sell only high quality flags and flag products. If you are not 100% satisfied with your flag order just return it within 10 days for a refund or exchange. Sorry but shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
Your phone calls, faxes, and e-mails are all handled by us here at our company. And we will never share your personal information with anyone without your permission.
Our web site may not be as fancy as others because it is produced and maintained in-house by me. This helps to keep our expenses down and in turn saves our customers money. I hope you will find our web site informative and useful.
